Campaigns and cases: activism in action
Brigitte Fuzellier
Case status: investigations requested
Brigitte Fuzellier suffered a decade's worth of relentless retaliation after she reported alleged financial irregularities within Kolping, a Catholic charity based in Cologne, Germany. Many other whistleblowers have come forward with new information. On her behalf, we have demanded investigations of Kolping by the German Bundestag, European Union and other authorities.
Fishrot Files
Case status: investigations ongoing
Fishing company executive Jóhannes Stefánsson revealed a massive bribery scheme allegedly plotted by Icelandic firm Samherji to illegally obtain offshore fishing rights in Namibia. Wikileaks first published the "Fishrot" files in November 2018. Two Namibian ministers were arrested and criminal investigations are ongoing in at least 27 countries.
Rights for Europe
Campaign status: underway full-strength
Right now we are pushing all 27 European Union countries to pass strong whistleblower protection laws to comply with the EU's new mandatory standards. Several countries already have proposed new laws that include our suggestions. EU countries are required to pass these new laws by December 2021. Join our campaign today!
Wirecard scandal
Case status: investigations ongoing
We are working with independent investigators to follow up on the revelations made by whistleblowers who uncovered the massive scandal at the Munich-based fintech company Wirecard. Remaining anonymous has been crucial to ensure the safety of the whistleblowers and focus public attention on the scandal itself.
